چکیده:
The subject of will is one of the important and attractive categories that has been raised in some branches of the humanities, and scholars have each addressed and interpreted it from their own perspective. In Islamic mysticism, it also enjoys a high status as long as this subject is extended to the divine realm. In this article, while explaining the views of some mystics regarding will, it is pointed out how this seemingly contradictory truth—which on one hand is the recommendation of great masters of gnosis to possess and be characterized by it, and on the other hand is the secret of immortality and survival after annihilation in its negation—can be placed side by side and both considered correct. Finally, Imam Khomeini's theory is presented, stating that the Creator of existence initially bestowed a demand accompanied by compassion upon the creation, so that man realizes that the journey towards perfection is both the 'desire' (Murad) of God and the capability of man, and this matter will never conflict with the will of the submissive human.

In this article, while explaining the views of some mystics regarding will, it is pointed out how this seemingly contradictory truth ــ which on one hand is the recommendation of the masters of gnosis to possess and be characterized by it, and on the other hand is the secret of immortality and survival after annihilation in its negation ــ can be placed side by side and both considered correct; finally, Imam Khomeini's theory is presented, stating that the Creator of existence initially bestowed a desire accompanied by compassion upon the creation so that man realizes that the journey towards perfection is both the "will" (Murad) of God and within human capability, and this matter will never conflict with the will of the submissive human.
In this article, I will first refer to the statement of Sheikh al-Ra'is and then refer to the views of great and prominent mystical figures, namely Khwaja Abdullah Ansari, Muhyiddin ibn Arabi, Abd al-Razzaq Kashani, and Imam Khomeini regarding mystical devotion, and then we will address the views of the Imam in the Treatise on Seeking and Will (Risalat al-Talab wa al-Irada).
Qaysari writes in the introduction to Sharh Fusus: "فی الوجود و انه هو الحق", thus in the view of the gnostic, existence has only one individual, and that is God. His own will, and He considers the will, desire, and volition of the creature as the manifestation of His own will and volition [Khomeini 1379: 36].
