The view regarding the writing of the Mushaf of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) based on the order of revelation is an ancient view among both sects, but it also has opponents among contemporaries. Examining the arguments of proponents and opponents is a way to understand the truth of the matter. Despite expressing this view, Sunnis have often not provided evidence to prove their opinion. In contrast, one of the references used by Shia scholars to prove the descending order of the Mushaf of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has been traditions from the Sunnis, which include: the traditions of Ibn Sirin and the traditions reporting the order of the Mushaf of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). A careful examination of the expressions in these traditions shows that the aforementioned traditions do not indicate the descending order of the Mushaf of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

92-93) Conversely, one of the proponents has provided evidence to prove that the meaning of the aforementioned phrase is "in order" or "one after another," and that the said phrase is an indicator that in Ibn Sirin's narration, the compliance of the Mushaf of Ali (peace be him) with the order of revelation is being discussed.
