Allamah al-Khoei, in the commentary and interpretation of this passage, uncovers a painful reality and writes: In these sentences, His Eminence has bequeathed and recommended being with the Quran in terms of learning and teaching and following it, and has severely warned humans against negligence in practice, to such an extent that non-Muslims might precede Muslims in acting upon it, just as we see in the present era that non-Muslims have preceded Muslims in its general rulings, such as truthfulness and helping one another. Ibn Abi al-Hadid, in explaining this passage, has stated many noteworthy points, including that if an objection is raised that the Quran does not speak for itself and requires translation and interpretation, it is possible that the people of Sham might interpret it in the story of the Caliphate in favor of Muawiyah, and the people of Iraq in favor of Ali (peace be upon him), thus the dispute would remain persistent.
