چکیده:
The hadith 'the manifestation of God on the Day of Resurrection in various forms' is one of the narrations transmitted in reliable Sunni sources. This hadith, which is related to two important doctrinal subjects, namely Tawhid (monotheism) and Ma'ad (resurrection), has become a pretext for proponents of religious pluralism; also, in the works of the masters of theoretical mysticism, this hadith has been used as evidence to validate all beliefs; for instance, Ibn Arabi, the primary compiler of theoretical mysticism, in his two important and fundamental works, Futuhat al-Makkiyya and Fusūs al-Ḥikam, has repeatedly referred to this hadith and considers it evidence for the various manifestations of the essence of God; in such a way that every human's conception of God returns to one of the manifestations of the divine essence; whereas the content of this hadith, even with such an interpretation, is incompatible with Islamic teachings and rational proofs; for this reason, Sunni hadith scholars have attempted to provide an acceptable perspective for this hadith.
