چکیده:
Persian: The narrations of the Infallibles (as), in the process of transmission, have arrived in the form of multiple versions and different transmissions. Sometimes a narration is repeatedly transmitted in one or several books, and in some cases, different transmissions of a single narration differ from each other in text or chain of transmission. Although secondary sources of Shia Hadith (unlike primary sources) have made great efforts to identify these unified narrations, unfortunately, they have never addressed the theoretical foundations and the problems and issues thereof. In this article, an attempt has been made to briefly introduce topics such as the definition of unity and multiplicity in narrations, the benefits of identifying unified narrations, the criteria for identifying unified narrations, and the existing problems in this path. Additionally, the performance of the two books Wasa'il al-Shia and Jami' Ahadith al-Shia regarding this matter will be examined and compared. Arabic: Indeed, the narrations of the Infallibles (as) in their transmission process have reached us in the form of multiple versions and different citations. For we sometimes see that a single narration is transmitted more than once in a book or books, while at other times we see that the different citations of a single narration differ from one another in text or chain. And although the secondary sources of Shia Hadith (contrary to the primary sources) have exerted their utmost efforts to know these unified narrations, they have never addressed the theoretical principles and their problems. Based on this, we have attempted to briefly define some of these topics, including the definition of unity or multiplicity in narrations, the benefits of knowing unified narrations, the criteria for knowing unified narrations, and the problems available in this path. In addition to this, we have processed the effectiveness of the two books Wasa'il al-Shia and Jami' Ahadith al-Shia and compared them.

Unity or Multiplicity in Similar Narrations A Comparative Study of the Performance of the Books Wasa'il al-Shia and Jami' Ahadith al-Shia Mohammad Ali Mahdavi Rad* Mohammad Hossein Bahrami** Abstract: The narrations of the Infallibles (as) have, through the process of transmission, entered into multiple versions and different reports.
Subsequently, the foundations and criteria for identifying unified narrations in two books, Wasa'il al-Shia and Jami' al-Ahadith, as two important later hadith collections, are examined, and the performance of these two books in this regard is compared.
The late Hur Amili in Wasa'il al-Shia has repeatedly narrated a tradition from a book and then referred to the mursal transmission of the same narration in the book Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih; for example, it is stated in this book: «مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ عَبْداللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَة بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِاللَّهِ(ع) يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَ الْكَسَلَ ...
13231 and 13232) However, in Jami' al-Ahadith, considering the unity of the subject, the similarity of expressions, and also the unity of the other narrator, the differences have been deemed to result from transmission by meaning, and the two narrations have been transmitted in the form of a single narration.
Despite this issue, both Wasa'il and Jami' al-Ahadith have considered the difference in the Imam's name to be due to misreading (tashif) and have transmitted all three narrations in the form of a single narration.
