And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers (Al-Isra 17:82). One of the most magnificent dimensions of the miracle and beauty of the Holy Quran is its harmony with pleasant melodies and solemn sonic rhythms. When it is recited with a warm, beautiful voice and a soft, charming tone, it ignites a fire in the harvest of hearts, and its bright ember leaves the world and all beings in longing and passion. The important factor in the attractiveness of the Quran lies in its style, order, and rhythm. These three factors form the fundamental stones of the enchanting structure of the Quran, and they are so intertwined and blended that the role of each cannot be separated from the attractiveness of the Quran. One instance of this magnificent dimension in medical sciences is its application as a pleasant melody with its own special characteristics in soothing pains, aches, and alleviating the symptoms of many diseases, examples of which are mentioned in this article.

And finally, a study was conducted in 1997 at Tarbiat Modares University under the title "Investigating the extent of the impact of the sound of the Holy Quran on pain reduction," which, as the first applied research on religious concepts in medical sciences and after obtaining written permission from the blessed presence of the Wali Amr of Muslims (Fatwa number 16021), entered the implementation stage.
In this semi-experimental research, the soul-soothing voice of the esteemed Egyptian reciter, Master Shehata Muhammad Anwar, and the blessed Surah Yusuf (Verses 7-32) was used for the reduction of pain in patients after abdominal surgeries in the test group.
The research results indicate the tremendous impact of the sound of the Holy Quran, as an organized rhythmic sound and a pleasant religious and mystical melody, on reducing pain after abdominal surgeries.
