چکیده:
In the way of understanding narrations, there is a need for a correct scientific method which we call Fiqh al-Hadith. Understanding the texts of Hadiths, without attention to the necessary foundations, will lead to wrong interpretations and deviations. One of the matters that plays an important and fundamental role in the comprehensiveness, fruitfulness, and up-to-dateness of Fiqh al-Hadith is paying attention to the various types of denotations (dalalat) of Hadiths. A Hadith researcher who is seeking a correct understanding of narrations should not only rely on the literal denotation (dalalat mutabaqi) of Hadiths but should also consider other valid denotations, which include: Mantouq (explicit), Mafhoum (implicit), Dalalat al-Iqtida (implication), Dalalat al-Tanbih (notification), and Dalalat al-Ishara (allusion). Only in this case are all the matters extracted from the words of the Infallibles taken into account. The Infallibles (peace be upon them) themselves paid attention to different denotations of speech. This article examines the types of denotations and the reason for the necessity of paying attention to and considering them in the interpretation of narrations.

A researcher of hadith who is seeking a correct understanding of narrations should not only rely on the literal indication (dalalat mutabaqi) of hadiths but should also consider other valid indications, which include: manutq (explicit), mafhum (implicit), dalalat al-iqtida (implication), dalalat al-tanbih (notification), and dalalat al-ishara (allusion).
The importance of this discussion is that without paying attention to all the indications of the hadith, one cannot reach the depth of the words of the Infallibles (as), and a part of their intention remains hidden from the researcher, because those great personalities did not express all their contents through the literal indication (dalalat mutabaqi) of speech, but rather utilized other indications as well in line with conveying their purpose.
The Necessity of Paying Attention to the Types of Indications in the Jurisprudence of Hadith At the beginning of this section, it is necessary to discuss a point: that the authority of the apparent meanings (hujjiyat al-zawahir) of words and speech is a rational principle.
128) ـ Sheikh Tusi, Fayd Kashani, and Sheikh Hurr Amili, among the great Shia Hadith scholars and famous Shia jurists, consider possession (qabd) in a mortgage contract to be a condition, and they argue for the requirement of possession in a mortgage based on the implication of Imam Baqir's (peace be upon him) Hadith: «لا رهن إلا مقبوضا»(Tusi, 1407 AH, Vol. 7, p.
4. Although dalalat al-isharah (indication of implication) is not among the apparent meanings of speech, it is considered one of the requirements of the discourse and must be taken into account in the jurisprudence of hadith.
