In response to the claim of negligence in taking revenge on the killers of Uthman Sermon 166 of Nahj al-Balagha begins by presenting a claim and responding to the claimants; in this way, after pledging allegiance to His Eminence, groups of companions said to him: "If only you had punished the people who rebelled against Uthman"; meaning, if only you had retaliated against the rebels against Uthman; thus, His Eminence was indirectly accused of negligence in this speech, and their claim was formed on this basis.
In any case, the comparison of the narrated claim indicates that merely conveying the concept was important in its mention, and with this same mindset, the presented sentence is devoid of any rhetorical or literary structure is; but in contrast, the response is strengthened with a verbal noun indicating emphasis, metonymic expression, an oath by the name of God, emphasis, concrete imagery, impossibility, and simile, so that the speaker's steadfastness in speech and behavior is evoked for the audience.
