چکیده:
In the seventeenth volume of Bihar al-Anwar, Allamah Majlisi has included a chapter titled 'The oversight of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) and his oversleeping for prayer' and has referred to seventeen narrations in this regard. These narrations can be divided into four categories: 1. Narrations indicating the oversight of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) in the number of rak'ahs of prayer; 2. Narrations indicating the lack of oversight by the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) in prayer; 3. Narrations indicating the oversight of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) in the recitation of prayer; 4. Narrations indicating the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) oversleeping for the Fajr prayer. After critiquing and examining the chain of transmission (isnad) and the content (dalalah) of these narrations and citing the opinions of other great Shia scholars, he rejects the concept of Sahw al-Nabi (Peace be upon him and his family) by providing various arguments. Regarding the hadiths about the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family) oversleeping for the Fajr prayer, Allamah presents three possibilities: 1. Suspending judgment on these reports despite their fame among opponents; 2. The issuance of these hadiths due to Taqiyya; 3. Accepting them after justifying the contradiction that exists between them and other narrations from the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family).

Allamah Majlisi's Methodology in Critiquing the Narrations of Sahw al-Nabi * Seyyedeh Vahideh Rahimi, Seyyedeh Zeinab Jafarnia** Abstract: In the seventeenth volume of Bihar al-Anwar, Allamah Majlisi has included a chapter titled "The Oversight of the Prophet and His Oversleeping the Prayer" and has referred to seventeen narrations in this regard.
In one of these volumes (Vol. 17), Allamah has included a chapter titled "The Oversight of the Prophet and His Oversleeping the Prayer," in which he explains narrations regarding the oversight of the Prophet and then, in a detailed explanation, proceeds to critique and examine these narrations and state the opinions of the great scholars on this matter.
100 and 101) It is worth mentioning that after stating these narrations in Tahdhib (Kitab al-Salat, Chapter on the Rulings of Forgetfulness), Sheikh Tusi states another narration that has been narrated with a correct chain from Zurara from Imam Sadiq , which indicates the invalidity of Sahw al-Nabi (the Prophet's oversight).
Another point is that some of the narrations of the Shi'a or the Sunnis that are based on Sahw al-Nabi are, apart from the discussion of the chain of transmission, unacceptable by scholars due to their contradiction with established jurisprudential rulings; just as Sheikh Tusi refers to this narration in Tahdhib (Kitab al-Salat, Chapter on the Rulings of forgetfulness): «Imam Ali said: The Noble Prophet performed the Dhuhr prayer as five rak'ahs, so a person said to him: Has the number of rak'ahs in the prayer increased?
