چکیده:
One of the topics related to the knowledge of interpretation is linguistic semantics, which helps in discovering and unveiling the intention of the Quran. In the course of semantics, different views have emerged, the most important of which is where the focus of meaning is placed under a social system and collective action plays a role in language and meaning. In the interpretation of the Quran, there are several important topics regarding semantics: one is meaningfulness and meaninglessness, and another involves discussions related to the appropriate context of meaning and identifying its characteristics. On the other hand, examining the position of rhetoric, instantiation, and presuppositions holds special importance in meaningfulness and plays a role in new explorations for discovering the explicit intent. The purpose of this writing is to point out the overlaps and challenges between semantics and the knowledge of interpretation.
خلاصه ماشینی:
In the exegesis of the Quran regarding semantics, several important topics exist: one is meaningfulness and meaninglessness, and another involves discussions related to the appropriate context of meaning and identifying its characteristics.
Of course, historically in the science of Usul al-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence), regarding the discussions of words in their classical format, explorations were made about the types of significations, and in that science, signs, principles, foundations, and the manner of its signification, such as the truth of word designation, types of designation, literal and metaphorical usage, synonymy and homonymy, the usage of a word in most of its single meaning, legal truth, derivative, commands and prohibitions, concepts, general and specific, absolute and qualified, and dozens of other discussions, have been addressed; however, semantics opens up a different space and creates overlaps and challenges with literary and jurisprudential sciences.
In any case, if we pay attention to rhetoric and the temporal and spatial situation and the absent factors in speech, it becomes clear that the dual aspect of signifier and signified (which is the traditional theory) is a linguistic sign, and the relationship of signification between them is an established matter, and meaning is also based on this very relationship.
The Role of Presuppositions in Determining Meaning One of the semantic discussions regarding the meaningfulness and meaninglessness of a text is the presuppositions that determine the meaning of the text or limit and constrain it, which are considered among non-linguistic signs.
