1 God has expressed many rulings in the Quran in a summary way, and their details must be found in the narrations of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and his Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), such as the legislation of Zakat, Hajj, fasting, and the like. Bayyinat: The Ahl al-Bayt of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, have their own specific school of thought in the interpretation of the Quran, which, by referring to the narrations transmitted from them, we understand this matter precisely; and the interpretation of the Quran has been one of the great responsibilities of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them. I will briefly and quickly mention a few points here and move on: One of the principles of interpretation in the school of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, is the negation of anthropomorphism (tajsim) from the presence of God, Glorified and Exalted is He. Despite the fact that the Mujassimun (anthropomorphists) and Mushabbihun (comparativists) throughout the (theological) history of Islam insisted on interpreting verses that apparently indicate comparison and embodiment in the Quran according to their literal appearance—such as (Yad Allah - the Hand of Allah), (Wajh Rabbika - the Face of your Lord), and the like—and strange words have been narrated from them that conflict with Tawhid (Monotheism). 6 The third point that can be mentioned in outlining the school of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, in the interpretation of the Quran, is the issue of negating the possibility of Divine Vision (Ru'yah).
