In recent decades, numerous actions have been taken to increase trust, reduce suspicion, and create more appropriate communication in the world's tension-prone areas. These actions have had positive results in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and also between Argentina and Brazil; however, if we want to implement confidence-building models and patterns in the Persian Gulf region, as part of the Islamic world, and then generalize them to other regions and Islamic countries, what confidence-building patterns and models should we utilize? We pursue the answer to this question:

Just as the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe was established for timely and rapid warning, conflict prevention, crisis management, and returning situations to their original state after war and conflict, the countries of this region also need cooperation and participation in these matters.
The countries of the Persian Gulf region, which play a special role in securing the world's oil and gas, can take very useful steps toward confidence-building by creating an appropriate framework for the development and exploitation of the oil and gas fields located within their common borders.
The establishment of a regional organization for the protection of the marine environment, which was created through the initiative of the coastal countries of the region including Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait with the aim of researching and studying issues related to the marine environment of the Persian Gulf, has not been able to properly perform its duties to date due to various incidents.
