Although I personally have not yet had the opportunity to meet Mr. Payandeh, I have read some of his written works, such as the translation of the book Hayat Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), the translation of the book Dar Aghosh-e Khoshbakhti (In the Embrace of Happiness), and the translation of the words of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), in which Mr. Payandeh himself has collected the text of the blessed words in one place and named it Nahj al-Fasahah; I have used them, and regarding the recent book, some observations regarding the translation have occurred to me, which I have also noted down separately.
" And also, after mentioning a few mistakes as examples from one of the Quran translations which, in his words, is our reference in these days, he says: "Truly, I am bewildered as to why the righteous people have remained so silent in the face of the flagrant errors present in Quran translations, except for that great virtue of enjoining what is good, which the Holy Quran calls for until the Day of Judgment...
" Furthermore, in this very verse of Surah Az-Zumar, یا حسرتی علی ما فرطت فی جنب اللّه besides taking "hasrat" to mean regret, they have translated the word "ala" as "for/from," and "faratta" as "I fell short," whereas there is a difference between "qusur" and "taqsir" both in ordinary Persian and in the original Arabic.
Accordingly, the phrase 'ma ya'tihim,' which contains a present tense verb and denotes continuity and persistence, has been translated in the past tense, resulting in the following translation: 'O regret for these servants, for no prophet came to them except that they used to ridicule him.
