چکیده:
The aim of the present research is to compare the effectiveness of schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy on generalized anxiety in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. The study population included all male adolescents aged 12 to 18 visiting psychological counseling centers in the cities of Khorramdarreh and Abhar. The required sample size for this research was determined to be 45 people. 45 individuals were selected using purposive non-random sampling and were randomly assigned into three groups (15 people per group): two experimental groups (acceptance and commitment therapy and schema therapy) and one control group. Finally, analysis of the research findings using SPSS 27 software showed that both schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy methods, compared to the control group, led to a reduction in generalized anxiety (p < 0.001), but there was no significant difference between the intervention methods (p < 0.001).
