In a world where the social and psychological complexities of daily life are increasing day by day, life skills education, as one of the essential pillars of holistic education, plays a key role in enhancing the self-awareness, responsibility, and social adaptability of students. This article, with a psychological and educational approach, examines the effects of teaching skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, effective communication, emotion management, and critical thinking on the individual and social personality development of students. The results obtained from the review of research literature show that purposeful learning of these skills not only leads to a reduction in high-risk behaviors, anxiety, and conflict in interpersonal relationships, but also paves the way for increased self-confidence, self-regulation, and active social participation. This article emphasizes the necessity of integrating life skills education into the formal school curriculum and provides solutions for its effective implementation.
