This article examines the vital role of teachers in fostering emotional intelligence in students. Emotional intelligence is defined as a set of skills and abilities to understand, manage, and express emotions in a healthy and constructive manner. In this article, it is argued that teachers act not only as academic instructors but also as emotional role models and guides for students on the path of developing emotional intelligence. The article begins by examining the importance of emotional intelligence in childhood and its impact on learning, mental health, and social relationships. Then, the role of teachers as models in promoting healthy emotional behaviors and effective coping skills is discussed. Using a descriptive-analytical method and utilizing library resources, the article examines various methods through which teachers can help students learn and practice emotional intelligence skills. These methods include explicit instruction of emotional skills, creating opportunities to practice these skills in real-world environments, providing feedback and encouragement, and creating a safe and supportive classroom environment.
