Academic decline is one of the major problems in educational systems that can have profound effects on students and society. Academic decline in students is an important challenge in the field of education and training. This article, by combining various studies and research, attempts to provide a comprehensive picture of the factors and damages related to academic decline and, by suggesting practical and applicable solutions, help improve the academic status of students. The factors examined in this article that are related to the damages of academic decline include individual, family, school, and social aspects. In the individual section, issues such as low motivation, exam anxiety, and psychological problems are examined. At the family level, the effects of economic status, unsuitable family environment, and parental expectations are analyzed. Also, at the school level, the role of teachers, teaching quality, and educational facilities are examined. Finally, social effects such as peer pressure and societal culture on students' academic decline are analyzed. Therefore, the present article, which is a review/library-based type, by studying previous books, articles, theses, etc., aims to examine pathology in school with a focus on students' academic decline. The results obtained from this research are as follows: with appropriate approaches, academic decline can be reduced and better opportunities for students' academic progress can be created.
