چکیده:
Mobile tools such as Line, Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc., are used daily by nearly four hundred million people, and one of their main applications is establishing social communication with others. The advantage of these communication media over other virtual spaces is that communication in them is not solely based on text and benefits from visual and auditory cues in face-to-face interactions. In addition, like other media, these tools possess various functions such as information dissemination, cultural building, educational, etc., but it seems that mobile tools among audiences have had purely entertainment and leisure-filling functions. This research examines the relationship between these mobile tools and awareness of citizenship rights. This research was conducted using the survey method and multi-stage cluster sampling method, and a questionnaire was distributed among 384 citizens over 15 years old in District 4 of the Tehran metropolis. The data obtained were processed through SPSS software and the hypotheses were tested through the T-test and Pearson correlation coefficient, and the results indicate that Telegram is the most popular mobile software and the average use of it is more than 3 hours per day. It was also found that there is no significant relationship between the amount of mobile Telegram software use and the level of awareness of citizenship rights. Therefore, it can be concluded that increasing or decreasing the use of Telegram software does not lead to an increase or decrease in awareness of citizenship rights.
