چکیده:
Since today in social films, it can be clearly seen the examples of changes in roles, reactions, actions, and other changes that have been shaped due to social changes, especially about women, then cinema and media research have gained an important status in the studies of this area. On the other hand, there are numerous controversies about the institutionalized gender roles and the level of women's functionality, especially in family affairs, which needs to be addressed in researches of this area. In this study, by focusing on two films "The Snow on the Pines" and "A Minor Leap Down", we have extracted and done meaning analysis of the propositions of action change and the status of women in the family and compared the derived issues of the analysis of these cinematic works to find common issues with focus on women's functionality. According to the analysis and comparison of the findings, women's rebellion against the objectivity was identified as a major issue in this study. This rebellion has been construed as an attempt to change the passive state, the revolt against the customary rules governing the lives of women and the uprising against oppression in the sense of remaining in a status with no decision-making power.
خلاصه ماشینی:
In the present study, also with the aim of achieving concepts and categories that examine and challenge women's agency in Iranian cinema, efforts will be made to extract propositions related to the main research question—which is related to what was mentioned—through thematic and content analysis of the two films, and to identify the status of women, their actions, and their reactions in facing new challenges in their current lives, considering their changing attitudes and awareness.
Theoretical Foundations Given the main question and the statement of the research problem—in which emphasis was placed on themes of stereotype breaking, unconventional behaviors, limitations imposed by power and dominant culture, the influence of tradition on women's actions, as well as the type of representation and depiction of their situation in the process of attempting to exit passivity—the theoretical basis for the analysis of the content of these two works will be based on Foucault's perspective on power and gender, Althusser's theories regarding dominant ideologies, as well as theories of stereotyping and representation.
Attention to the influence of ideology from Althusser's perspective, anti-stereotype and stereotyping themes, and related theories regarding power and gender, are therefore important in the present research, where in the content analysis of the two films under consideration, woman is examined as an element that possesses the possibility of movement and changing status from objectification to subjectivity.
