چکیده:
Ferdowsi's Shahnameh is a rich treasure trove of fictional stories. The logic governing these types of stories is not rational and is full of wonderful elements, events, miracles, and extraordinary creatures that contribute to the beauty and attractiveness of the Shahnameh and provide a basis for selecting stories based on the needs of children. The main concern of adapters is how these stories can be presented to children so that they can easily connect with the story, fully grasp the message of an ancient text, and enjoy listening to it. This is where it becomes necessary for the poet and children's author to pay attention to the cognitive aspects of the audience and be aware of the principles of communication. The present article attempts, in order to adapt the fictional stories of the Shahnameh, to first examine the mental, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of children, drawing on the findings of researchers in the field of education and child developmental psychology books, and subsequently, using content and stylistic adaptation techniques, to suggest solutions to adapters for better presentation of the original work. This research is considered a new endeavor in its own right and will lead to an increase in the quality level of adapted stories for children.
