چکیده:
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of group positive parenting training on mothers on the behavioral and emotional problems of children with ADHD/ADD. This clinical trial was conducted from May/June 2012 to August/September 2012 on 24 mothers visiting the Razi Counseling Center in Karaj who had children aged 4 to 10 years with ADHD/ADD. These individuals were randomly assigned to 2 equal groups (12 experimental and 12 control), and in both groups, the age of the mothers was considered to be in the range of 25-45 years. For this study, the Conners' Behavioral Problems Questionnaire (Parent Form) and the Abilities and Difficulties Questionnaire were used. All these mothers completed these questionnaires before starting the training sessions, at the end of the eighth session, and after a 6-week follow-up. Data were analyzed using the repeated measures ANOVA statistical method. The results showed that group positive parenting training was effective in reducing the behavioral and emotional problems of children with ADHD/ADD at a significance level (P < 0.05).
