چکیده:
The aim of the present research is to examine the impact of security-oriented leadership components on employees' sense of psychological safety with the mediating role of leadership effectiveness. The research method is descriptive of the correlational type, and the statistical population consisted of all employees of Shahid Beheshti University, who numbered 928, and from this number, 272 people were selected using stratified random sampling. To collect data, three questionnaires were used: 'Security-Oriented Leadership' by Kumbe (2011), 'Psychological Safety' by Edmondson (1999), and 'Leadership Effectiveness' (developed by the researcher). The validity of the questionnaires was reviewed and confirmed based on the opinions of five experts in the field of educational management, and their reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha, which were 0.91, 0.80, and 0.93, respectively. For data analysis, both descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, etc.) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient test, multiple regression, simple linear regression, and path analysis) were used. The results showed that there are positive and significant relationships between the components of security-oriented leadership, leadership effectiveness, and employees' psychological safety. Furthermore, the results indicated the impact of most security-oriented leadership components on employees' psychological safety, both directly and through the mediation of leadership effectiveness; therefore, the empirical pattern obtained from the data analysis was largely consistent with the conceptual model of the research. Thus, in general, it can be said that leadership effectiveness has been able to play a mediating role in increasing the relationship between security-oriented leadership and psychological safety.
