چکیده:
5S approach، is Step by step method that trying to eliminate wastes and pollutions of the workplace in five Steps .This method is very simple in the theory but Implemented with great difficulties are faced because it related with all on unites in the factory. One of the main problems in this method is evaluated and compared the units with each other because there is not any standard method for evaluation of this system. In this regard، in order to resolve this problem this paper is looking to create a comprehensive perspective for evaluation of performance of units under the 5S system also this method compares the units with using the data envelopment analysis (A method for determining the relative performance of units in comparison with each other). In this paper، an appropriate collection of inputs and outputs 5S system are be determined. Then، due to multiple sets of resources، activities، environmental factors and different data and output of existing data envelopment analysis have been used for evaluation of system relative performance via this way relative performance of different units under 5S system could be compared. At the end، a numerical case in on company، 38 active units in the 5S system have been evaluated by CCR and Andersen - Petersen models and their performance has been calculated then units have been ranked based on relative performance.

Then, due to the existence of multiple sets of resources, activities, environmental factors, data, and outputs present in the 5S system, DEA has been used to evaluate the relative efficiency of this system, so that through this way, the relative efficiency levels of different units can be compared.
Finally, as a case study in a parts manufacturing company, 38 active units in the 5S system were evaluated using the CCR and Peterson-Anderson models, and the relative efficiency of the units was calculated and they are ranked accordingly.
In this research, by evaluating the units under the supervision of the 5S system, a suitable set of inputs and outputs of the 5S system is identified, and then, using the Data Envelopment Analysis method and calculating the efficiency of the units covered by the 5S system, the ranking of these units has been addressed.
Using the quantitative DEA model in the qualitative 5S system, identifying a relatively complete set of inputs and outputs of the 5S system, and measuring the relative efficiency of the units covered by the 5S system in the studied company, is the innovative aspect of this research.
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric method in operations research and economics for estimating production boundaries and frontiers that empirically measures the efficiency and productivity of decision-making units [20] and performs multiple measurements by employing a linear programming algorithm [26].
In this writing, to measure the efficiency of S5 units, the CCR input-oriented method from Data Envelopment Analysis has been used.
