چکیده:
Many bitter and unpleasant social events and occurrences that threaten the life of human society and have become an inseparable part of social life and international relations can be considered 'fitna' (sedition). Fitna and the way humans and human societies deal with it is one of the topics that has been discussed in detail both in the Quran and in the traditions of the Imams (peace be upon them). By studying parts of Nahj al-Balagha that address the type of approach of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) to the seditions of the era after the passing of the Great Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and the agitators—who continued until his martyrdom—it becomes clear how Ali (peace be upon him) attempted to save the Islamic Ummah and preserve the Islamic government against the weapons of the seditious, using what methods and by employing all his strength to extinguish the created seditions. Given the mentioned points, this writing seeks to answer: What are the roots of sedition from the perspective of Nahj al-Balagha?

The Roots of Fitna (Sedition) from the Perspective of Nahj al-Balagha Mohsen Motalebi Jonqani Master of Political Science Abstract Keywords: Introduction After the passing of the dark years of Taghut rule in Iran and the separation of the rulers of the Iranian lands from the content of revelation and Islam, with the uprising of a man from the lineage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) — Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him) — and with the self-sacrifice of the deprived and the oppressed, the sun of piety and religion rose in the arena of the government of Iran.
The executors of this program were weak-willed individuals who once attained fame alongside the Imam (may Allah have mercy on him) and the Islamic Revolution, and now, by breaking away from the revolution, the Imam, and the path of Wilayah, through inclination towards the world and worldlyness and turning towards submission to the enemies of Islam, they clouded the atmosphere of the Islamic society of Iran so that truth and falsehood would become mixed.
Imam Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) in the Qasi'ah Sermon provided the most exemplary expression regarding arrogance and rebellion, saying: Fear Allah, fear Allah, in rebellion and self-conceit, which arises from ignorance and pride; for pride is the creator of enmities and the object of Satan's gaze, through which he deceived the people of the past in the centuries of Nahj al-Balagha, Sermon 50.
