Additionally, the results obtained from the model estimation indicate a positive and significant relationship between intra-industry trade and revealed comparative advantage in the Iranian economy. D- Given that the above comparative advantage index is based on the difference in relative costs of Armington varieties (lack of trade) among countries, the expected sign for total intra-industry trade in the Iranian economy, of which a vast majority is composed of vertical intra-industry trade, is also positive. Based on the research findings, it was observed that the Iranian economy possesses a comparative advantage in the field of vertical intra-industry trade, which is often due to the existence of abundant natural resources.
