چکیده:
The results obtained from the application of this model show that the efficiency of this country's economic system during the traditional economy era was 54 percent, which increased up to 94 percent after transitioning to a knowledge-based economy. Given that Iran is also in the process of transitioning from a traditional economy to a knowledge-based economy and this issue has been emphasized in development plans, comparing the efficiency of the transition from a traditional economy to a knowledge-based economy in China will provide new perspectives for the country's officials, which is effective in future planning and decision-making. Therefore, information related to these indicators over a 30-year period, covering the traditional economy era and the shift towards a knowledge-based economy, has been used based on the Data Envelopment Analysis model, and economic efficiency is calculated on an annual basis; by comparing the traditional economy with the knowledge-based economy, the extent of the impact of changing this country's economic system to a knowledge-based economy is determined.

Journal of Business Research, No. 95, Summer 2019, 28-75 Measuring the Efficiency of Transition from a Traditional Economy to a Knowledge-Based Economy in China Using the Cross-Data Envelopment Analysis (CDEA) Method and Providing Desirable Solutions in Iran Dr. Ali Naghi Mosleh Shirazi* Ahmad Rajabi** Received: 2019/07/30 Accepted: 2019/02/08 Knowledge-based economy/Efficiency/Cross-Data Envelopment Analysis Abstract Knowledge-based economy is one of the modern patterns of economic development which, given the expansion of communication technology and its impact on the process of economic evolution and the development of countries from various dimensions, becomes more important day by day.
In this article, using multiple economic and social indicators and based on the Cross-Data Envelopment Analysis (CDEA) model, the efficiency of the transition from the traditional economic system to the knowledge-based economy in the period before structural and economic reforms (1987) is compared with the current status (2007), which is considered a knowledge-based economy, over a 30-year period, so that from this perspective, the extent of the impact of moving from a traditional economy to a knowledge-based economy on the level of development and economic growth of this country can be determined.
Introduction of model data Given the model used to compare the efficiency of the change in China's economic system before the era of economic transformations and the era of the knowledge-based economy, the data effective on the development of the knowledge-based economy, which leads to an increase in the efficiency of this economic system or desirable outputs, are based on the World Bank indicators, which include effective economic and social indicators, knowledge production indicators, and knowledge application1, as shown in Table (1).
