The following article seeks to answer the question: what is Japan's position regarding the unification of the Korean Peninsula? This writing examines the hypothesis that Japan and the influential powers present in the region appear to agree with the unification of the two Koreas on the surface, but inwardly sabotage the unification of the two Koreas. Foreign powers, including China, Japan, Russia, and the United States, have different priorities regarding the Korean Peninsula, although all of them verbally support the goal of peaceful unification. In fact, in a clear contradiction to the process that led to the fall of communism everywhere, neighboring powers are not seeking the collapse of North Korea.
