چکیده:
The present research studied the effect of an aerobic period combined with Spirulina consumption on maximal oxygen consumption and the performance of some immune system indices in trained men after one session of exhaustive physical activity. In this study, 40 trained students were randomly assigned to four groups: Spirulina-aerobic exercise, Spirulina, placebo-aerobic exercise, and control. To test the research hypotheses, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used with a significance level of P < 0.05, and the follow-up test (LSD) was applied. For the subjects, the first stage test was conducted in a fasting and resting state immediately after the Bruce protocol test on a treadmill until complete exhaustion, and blood samples were taken; their VO2max values were determined through the aforementioned test. Subjects in the Spirulina-aerobic exercise and placebo-aerobic exercise groups consumed three 500 mg Spirulina tablets and 500 mg placebo tablets daily for six weeks. They also ran at the aerobic threshold for 30 minutes, three times a week. The Spirulina and placebo groups also consumed Spirulina and placebo tablets for six weeks using the same method. Then, they repeated the same first-stage test as the second-stage test. Blood samples were taken in four sessions before and after the first and second stages to measure NK cell counts, CD4+, CD8+, and the CD4+/CD8+ ratio. Analysis of the findings showed that: aerobic exercise and Spirulina supplementation each alone caused an increase in VO2max; aerobic exercise and Spirulina consumption caused a greater increase in VO2max compared to other groups (P > 0.05); and the hemoglobin of the Spirulina-aerobic exercise group had a significant difference with other groups (P = 0.02); there were no significant differences between the groups themselves; NK cells increased in all groups; the CD4+/CD8+ ratio had a significant difference between groups (P = 0.02); and the CD4+/CD8+ ratio in the Spirulina-aerobic exercise group was lower than in the Spirulina and placebo groups. In total, it can be concluded that Spirulina supplementation and aerobic exercise likely cause an increase in VO2max and improvement in immune indices.

Nutritional Supplement training and competition, or after it, can reduce the effects caused by intense physical activity performance on the immune system?
Changes in CD+4 to CD+8 ratio after 6 weeks of aerobic running and spirulina consumption Analysis of variance of the subjects' NK cell counts in the pre-test of stages one and two, and the pre- and post-test of stage two, showed that there was no significant difference between the groups (P = 0.
The process of VO 2max variable changes after 6 weeks of aerobic running and spirulina consumption In the analysis of variance of hemoglobin post-test before the exhaustion activity, the spirulina-aerobic running group had more hemoglobin compared to other groups (P = 0.
Therefore, the present research investigated the effect of spirulina consumption and a period of aerobic physical activity on maximum oxygen consumption and the performance of some indicators of the immune system in trained men after an exhausting physical activity.
Changes in NK cell count (cells per microliter) after six weeks of aerobic running and spirulina consumption Discussion and Conclusion: The research findings showed that aerobic activity and spirulina supplementation caused a significant increase in VO2max in all groups except the placebo group.
Statistical analysis of lymphocyte subsets (CD+4, CD+8, CD+4 / CD+8, and NK) following 6 weeks of aerobic activity and spirulina consumption showed that there was a significant difference in the amount of lymphocytes in the subjects, except for NK, during the post-test stage, and this difference was between the aerobic running + spirulina group and the other groups.
