چکیده:
One of the indicators of the foreign policy behavior of Iran and the United States can be analyzed and evaluated in the form of 'bilateral confrontationism.' Generally, there are completely different and contradictory postures in the diplomatic and strategic perceptions of Iran and the United States. The Islamic Revolution was able to transform the patterns of 'xenophobia' in Iranian foreign policy into a pattern of 'Americanization.' From this time point onward, we witness an intensification of Iran-US perceptual-postural conflicts. In an era where norms and perceptual constructs in international relations can create the necessary centrality for cooperation or conflict, it is natural that the normative-perceptual conflicts between Iran and the US have pushed the two countries to the brink of confrontation. This article has attempted to examine issues such as ideological and historical factors as indicators of confrontational postures. When postural indicators are placed in social, diplomatic, and strategic spaces, the grounds for mutual antagonism between Iran and the US are established. Such a trend can be evaluated across different periods. Effective US support for Iraq, countering Iran's regional roles, US accusations against Iranian behavioral patterns, accusing Iran of creating regional instability, supporting terrorism, and producing weapons of mass destruction are considered among the critical literature of the US against Iran.
خلاصه ماشینی:
Since perceptions and conceptions of a country's political leaders hold special importance in foreign relations policymaking, it naturally seemed that the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran would show serious reactions to the regional position and hegemony of the United States.
7 Iran's ideological struggles in the period after the victory of the Islamic Revolution were mainly organized against the United States; because Americans are considered the main axis of power in international politics.
Since suspicion toward foreign powers has become institutionalized in the subconscious of Iranian society and has been combined with symbols of xenophobia that reflect the intervention of great powers in the internal affairs of Iran; it is natural that an anti-American attitude becomes institutionalized in the approach of Iran's political officials and leaders after the Islamic Revolution.
Although this leads to Iran adopting extreme positions in dealing with the external environment, the political realities formed from the first days of the victory of the Islamic Revolution until 82 years later, when the country's political officials publicly announced negotiations with the United States, have always shown aspects of behavioral awareness that has stemmed from ideological frameworks and is a reflection of the principles of "Taqiyya" and "Tawriyah" in Islamic rules, has placed it on its political and international agenda.
Among the retaliatory actions of American officials against the Islamic Revolution, one can mention interference in Iran's internal affairs, attempts to prevent the Iranian people's right to self-determination, creating rifts among revolutionary forces, and infiltrating the political and social structure of the resistant elements of Iranian society.
