چکیده:
Measuring superior performance and the extent of its progress and development 'must' be based on two key and decisive management concepts, namely efficiency and effectiveness of managers, which this process can be realized through increasing the level of job satisfaction of managers and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, consequently leading to an increase in organizational commitment among managers. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to identify the relationship between the job satisfaction of managers and their organizational commitment. To this end, all managers and vice-deans of the faculties of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad were examined using a census method. In this study, the research method is descriptive and of a bivariate correlational type. Based on the theoretical foundations of the research, two questionnaires, Wisocki and Crom for job satisfaction and Mowday, Steers, and Porter for organizational commitment, were used to collect information. Then, in order to analyze the data, based on the research hypotheses, Pearson correlation coefficient, multivariate regression, and mean difference tests were used. The results obtained from the data analysis show that: there is a direct and significant relationship between the job satisfaction of managers and their organizational commitment.

Identifying the relationship between the level of job satisfaction and the level of organizational commitment in operational managers of faculties can provide appropriate information for decision-making by senior and middle managers and lead to the adoption of suitable methods to ensure the effectiveness of the higher education system.

Research Hypotheses A) Main Hypothesis: There is a significant relationship between the job satisfaction of managers and their organizational commitment.

This means that there is a direct and significant relationship between the job satisfaction of managers and their organizational commitment; therefore, the main hypothesis of the research is confirmed with a confidence level of 0.
Sub-hypothesis number 1: There is a significant relationship between the components of job satisfaction (satisfaction with work, satisfaction with superiors, satisfaction with colleagues, satisfaction with promotions, and satisfaction with salary) of managers and their organizational commitment.
Therefore, sub-hypothesis number 1 of the research, regarding the existence of a significant relationship between the components of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, has been confirmed.
