چکیده:
After dominating Iran, the Seljuks utilized Iranian viziers to manage their vast territory in order to gain legitimacy, popularity, and administrative control over the country. Political rivalries among viziers and the royal family paved the way for the entry of followers of rival religions, particularly the Imami Shiites, into the court. Of course, the religious tolerance policy of Malik Shah and the influence of Terken Khatun and his Shiite associates helped the influence of the Imami Shiites. Majd al-Mulk Qomi was one of the famous viziers of this period, and the aforementioned factors played a significant role in his rise to power. He was one of the well-known viziers of the middle period of the Seljuk Empire, holding the vizierate of Berkyaruq for about two years; during his ministry, Majd al-Mulk took valuable steps in terms of influencing Shiism in the Seljuk court and reconstructing and prospering the tombs of the Imams and Shiite dignitaries. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method and through library studies, while examining the life and actions of Majd al-Mulk, addresses his role in advancing Shiite thought, promoting Imami ideology, and building holy sites, and explains his ultimate fate.
خلاصه ماشینی:
He was one of the prominent ministers of the middle period of the Seljuk Empire, serving as minister for Barkiyaruq for about two years; during his ministry, Majd al-Mulk took valuable steps in promoting Shiism in the Seljuk court and in the reconstruction and prosperity of the tombs of the Imams (peace be upon them) and Shiite dignitaries.
Mohsen Mo'meni (1393), in the article "The Ministry of Majd al-Mulk Qummi, An Analysis of the Khorasani-Iraqi Rivalry" in the journal Jostarhay-e Tarikhi; Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Mohammadi and Shahram Yousefifar (1389), in the article "The Influence of Religious Beliefs on Urban Social Life in the Seljuk Era," in the same journal, Volume 1; and Sasan Tahmasebi (1382), in the article "The Rivalry of Iraqis and Khorasanis in the Seljuk Bureaucracy," have examined aspects of the intellectual and political life of Majd al-Mulk; however, they have not specifically investigated the role of this ambitious minister and his service to the Seljuks in the expansion of Shiism in Iran.
Accordingly, the main question of this research is that, given the strengthening of Sunni intellectual currents during the Seljuk period, what influence and position did Majd al-Mulk Qummi have in serving the Shiites, and how did this position affect his status and destiny?
During the period of Barkiyaruq, each of the two groups exerted efforts to gain power, and in this process, the role and position of Majd al-Mulk Qomi as one of the Iraqi bureaucrats was more prominent in the course of events.
