چکیده:
Among the theories regarding bodily resurrection, Mulla Sadra's theory accepts both bodily and spiritual resurrection. Mulla Sadra attempts to establish this view based on rational principles; principles that place Mulla Sadra in opposition to theologians, Peripatetics, and Illuminationists. In this article, we have attempted to show how Mulla Sadra takes a position against other theories through principles such as the primacy of existence, the abstraction of imagination, the emanation of imaginary forms into the human soul, and the role of actions and dispositions in shaping a barzakh (intermediary) body, while articulating his own theory by pointing out their flaws.

However, in Mulla Sadra's view, behind this perspective that considers the truth of the human to be material and resorts to the restoration of the non-existent to correct bodily resurrection, lies the primacy of essence (asalat al-mahiyya) which maintains the stability of essence without existence (see: Ashtiani, 1352, p.
Mulla Sadra strives, by correcting the attitude toward man and centering human existential identity, to both explain the bodily aspect of the soul and the relationship of the soul with the material body and its susceptibility to the material body; to provide an explanation for the incorporeal stage of the soul after death and also to reconcile the origination of the soul, even in a bodily form, with an analysis of the eternity of the soul, which he considers its perfection to be merged in the level of the cause; to maintain his belief in the transformation of the soul in each of the existential stages and the correspondence of the bodily form in each of these stages, while also believing in the unity of human identity in all these stages; to validate the bodily nature of man in the resurrection and not negate its incorporeality and survival, and alongside that, to be committed to the differences between this world and the hereafter; and ultimately, he strives to both uphold the side of reason and maintain complete conformity with the Sharia.
