چکیده:
The uncontrolled expansion of cities, increasing population growth, the shortage of urban green spaces in large cities of the country (especially Tehran), the inappropriate dispersion of green spaces relative to the city area and other urban land uses, and the high costs incurred for the maintenance and survival of existing urban green spaces have led environmental and landscape designers and planners to review and revise their design perspectives. Previously, aesthetics was their only consideration, regardless of environmental compatibility and ecological or geographical characteristics; they must now pay more attention to the ecological, geographical, social, and economic characteristics of each region, alongside aesthetic aspects (paying attention to the principles and indicators of sustainability).

If sustainable development and the culture of naturism are to become a practical reality in line with the preservation and revival of these river valleys, it is necessary to recognize sustainability indicators and environmental characteristics, assess the ecological capacity of nature and the economic and social factors of the target area, and integrate them using relevant geographic methods and systems, and based on the results obtained, dedicate efforts to planning for the appropriate utilization of these God-given blessings.
In order to evaluate the environmental capacity of the river valley to determine its strengths, opportunities, limitations, and threats (SWOT analysis method) (3) for presenting relevant suggestions, conducting the land suitability process (4)—which is an ecological, economic, social, and physical assessment (Mahfouzi et al.
In this research, the study and planning of Rud-Darreh-Ken using the aforementioned method, with an emphasis on environmental assessment and investigation of the ecological capacity of the land, is carried out and includes the following stages: - Identifying the artificial, natural, and visual characteristics of the target area through field observations, maps, and existing condition images.
(Refer to the page image) - Extracting the facilities and limitations of the target area from the integration of the results of the analysis of the environmental, economic, and social characteristics of the region and presenting them in the form of SWOT table 3.
