Prof Syed Husain Nasr of Iran drew attention to the importance of Mulla Sadra's work as a source for the history of Islamic philosophy.
" Some papers dealt with new source material on Islamic history and culture which has recently come to light.
Goitein of Philadelphia read a paper on 'Arabic Dicuments on the Trade between India and the Mediterranean countries during the nth and rath centuries.
. Some original and interesting articles on the social and cultural aspects of Islamic history were also presented.
