The main purpose of this study was to compare the skillful and none skillful model in basketball lay-up shot learning. RESULTS Mean speed and accuracy of lay-up shot in acquisition, retention and transfer tests after video presentation of skilled and unskilled model, both groups performed approximately similar to each other in terms of speed of acquisition test and accuracy of retention test. model performance‌, while‌ the‌ other observed unskilled model, performing lay-up shot‌ for‌ 20 times in 6 sessions. At the end of the 6th session they carried out acquisition test, after 48 hours‌ of‌ no‌ training session, they were taken delay retention test and transfer‌ test was followed.

RESULTS

Mean speed and accuracy of lay-up shot in acquisition, retention and transfer tests‌ after‌ video‌ presentation of skilled and unskilled model, both groups performed approximately similar‌ to‌ each other in terms of speed of acquisition test and accuracy of retention test.

CONCLUSIONS

The results showed that skill level‌ of‌ the‌ model (skilled and unskilled model) had no significant effect on acquisition, delayed retention and‌ transfer‌ in lay-up shot task. The effect of these two groups had no‌ significant‌ differences‌ on three tests.
