Abstract:
The aim of the present research is to achieve a conceptual model of psychological resilience as a mechanism for resistance and positive adaptation of individuals in difficult conditions and adverse life events. From the perspective of psychologists, resilience is a dynamic process that enables individuals, by using their personal abilities and skills, not only to avoid failure when facing pressures, injuries, and stressful stimuli but also to achieve individual growth and strengthening. In this regard, this research is designed with the aim of achieving a conceptual model of psychological resilience in verses and traditions, to provide a theoretical and practical basis based on Islamic sources for enhancing resilience in the field of positive psychology. In this research, the qualitative content analysis method of religious texts was utilized; a method specifically used for extracting, understanding, and inferring psychological teachings from Islamic sources such as the Holy Quran and narrative texts. This method allows the researcher to identify and explain themes related to resilience through deep and systematic examination of the texts. The analysis process was carried out in five consecutive stages: first, systematic observation and purposeful selection of reliable sources; second, immersion in the content through repeated and careful study of the texts to achieve deep semantic understanding; third, formulation of findings and extraction of key concepts in the form of psychological propositions; fourth, validation of findings relying on the opinions of experts in religious and psychological fields and comparison with theoretical foundations; and finally, revision and presentation of the final report with the aim of achieving a reliable and conceptual model. This qualitative approach makes it possible to clarify the connection between religious teachings and positive psychology constructs, including resilience, with greater accuracy. In the first step, concepts and propositions related to resilience were extracted from verses and traditions, then analyzed using text preprocessing principles such as synonymy, polysemy, and semantic domains. Accordingly, 9 main components of resilience, including religious commitment, acceptance, task-oriented attitude, goal orientation, strength of will, persistence against difficulties, high adaptive capacity, fortitude, and emotional control, were identified. Subsequently, the components were categorized based on functional similarity. To ensure the validity of the research, the opinions of 10 experts in religious sciences and psychology were obtained, and the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI) were calculated, which were found to be higher than 0.62 and 0.79, respectively. Based on the findings of this research, psychological resilience consists of four basic dimensions: conscientiousness, persistence, flexibility, and personal growth. These dimensions represent various aspects of an individual's ability to face life's problems and challenges and can be used as valid indicators to measure the level of individuals' resilience. Identifying these dimensions is important not only for a deeper understanding of the resilience construct but also provides a practical basis for developing measurement tools, including standard questionnaires. Furthermore, the results obtained can serve as a basis for designing psychological interventions and targeted educational packages aimed at strengthening resilience capacities and improving the quality of life of individuals in various fields, especially education and training. Thus, the present research is considered an effective step toward integrating theoretical foundations with practical applications in positive psychology and human resource training.
