Abstract:
Undoubtedly, the currents, like the movements that have taken shape in society based on specific criteria and entail transformations, have foundations that their examination and analysis significantly aid us in their critique and analysis. One of the phenomena that, in the transmission of narratives related to the concept of the Mahdi, has in some instances led to the emergence and proliferation of deviant currents is the "condition, distortion and misinterpretation". In this paper, the role of these three in the formation and continuation of deviant currents of messianism during the era of the presence of the Imams has been examined. In the forthcoming research, after representing these factors in the narrations of Mahdism, solutions related to enlightening about unpleasant events in the history of narrations during the presence of the Imams have been examined and the changes that have taken place have been analyzed in a concise manner through the historical-hadith approach. Although determining the extent of the role of these three in bringing about and perpetuating deviant currents poses a considerable challenge, investigations bear clear testimony to this fundamental principle that the foundations of deviation can be traced back to the distortion of the teachings of the infallible. Based on the findings of this research, alongside social, political, and personality factors in the emergence and perpetuation of deviant trends, "condition," "distortion," and "interpretation" have played a pivotal and fundamental role in the transmission of narratives.

Background Although in representing the position of these three in the formation of Shiite deviant movements during the era of presence, no independent writing is available; works, in various contexts, have pointed to this issue in the examination of fabricated and distorted narrations; books such as: "Al-Mawdu'at fi al-Athar wa al-Akhbar", by Sayyid Hashim Ma'ruf al-Hasani, published by Dar al-Kitab al-Lubnani in 1973 AD, in which examples of fabricated hadiths produced by some traditionists and storytellers regarding virtues, merits, vices, and flaws are provided; and the book "Al-Hadith al-Nabawi bayna al-Riwayah wa al-Dirayah", written by Ja'far Subhani, one of the contemporary Imami Maraji' and scholars.
Of course, the fabrication of Hadith is also a matter worthy of investigation and reflection; because in the biography of Muhammad ibn Abdullah, it is said that he had a speech impediment, his words would get stuck in his chest, and he would strike his foot with his hand he would strike his foot with his hand so that the words would come out of his mouth (Isfahani, 1385: p.
The Kaysaniyya, by citing this Hadith, used it as a tool for their own objectives, claiming that the promised Mahdi whom the Prophet (saw) gave glad tidings of is Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyya, because the name and kunya of Ibn al-Hanafiyya are the same name and kunya that the Messenger of Allah (saw) gave glad tidings of.
These currents and sects, through the forgery and distortion of a group of Mahdist narrations, were seeking to introduce someone other than the Promised Mahdi (aj), the son of Imam al-Askari (as), as the Qa'im of the Family of Muhammad.
