Abstract:
The present research was conducted with the aim of determining sexual health indicators and developing a model for preventing marital infidelity from the perspective of the Holy Quran. This research was carried out using interrogative methods, content analysis, the Delphi method, and field study. In the qualitative section, a content analysis approach was used. Then, sexual health indicators including adherence to values, self-care, having modesty, chastity and purity, performing marriage, appropriate marriage, remarriage and polygamy, appropriate interaction between husband and wife, decent divorce, healthy sexual behavior, unhealthy sexual behavior, and methods of coping with sexual deviations were extracted. To establish the correlation of these indicators, a field study was used. The statistical population included 572 people, and in developing the model for preventing marital infidelity, 8 indicators were confirmed. The results of the research show that according to the verses and documents of divine revelation, regarding the sexual health indicators where factors, solutions, and methods of coping with sexual deviations have been discussed in detail, the existence of these foundations, while strengthening marital relationships and consolidating the family, provides the means for preventing marital infidelities in shared life.
Machine summary:
The results of the research show that, given the verses and documents of divine revelation regarding the sexual health indicators, which have extensively addressed its factors, solutions, and methods of coping with sexual deviations, the existence of these foundations, while strengthening marital relationships and consolidating the family, provides the necessary circumstances for preventing marital infidelities in shared life.
This importance manifests itself in its structure and in gaining and maintaining intimacy, and numerous studies have confirmed its role in physical and mental health (for example: Emery, Horn and Beam, 2012 and Braithwaite, Deloitte and Fincham, 2010).
To formulate the model for preventing marital infidelity, this research first used the content analysis method to extract Quranic verses from commentaries (Noor, Al-Mizan, and Nemuneh).
In the field method, the aforementioned checklist was implemented among two groups of husbands and wives, those with and without marital infidelity, to clearly and practically explain the level of adherence to the principles and foundations of the revealed word and, in other words, the sexual health indicators of family members, and to empirically determine the degree of distinction between the group adhering to Quranic principles and beliefs and the group lacking them; therefore, its pattern and effectiveness have been examined and proven.
Of the eleven indicators obtained from the Quran regarding the model of preventing marital infidelity using the content analysis method, 8 main components were confirmed by the data in the exploratory factor analysis.
