Abstract:
This writing introduces and examines the endowment booklet of the holy and luminous shrine of Imamzadeh Ali bin Muhammad al-Baqir located in Mashhad Ardehal, Kashan. This booklet, which bears the seal of approval of prominent figures such as the late Mulla Mohammad Naraqi, son of Mulla Ahmad Naraqi, was written in the year 1266 AH. It was originally created as a manual for managing the important affairs of that holy sanctuary, and more than twenty endowment items of the shrine are introduced and described within it; these endowments include water, trees, land, and shops. Given the special devotion of the people of the Kashan region to the holy presence of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their descendants, particularly Hazrat Ali bin Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him), these endowments have taken shape in various areas of the county. By examining the aforementioned booklet, in addition to reviewing the endowments and re-reading the text which pertains to the Qajar era and utilizes Siyāq script [1], a clear picture of the cultural, developmental, and managerial activity atmosphere of this magnificent Imamzadeh's shrine is drawn for the reader.
