Abstract:
Social capital is a novel subject in social sciences and sociology which has been studied and discussed during the two recent decades. In this research، the researchers have tried to study this subject in relation to Basij using ideas and viewpoints held by scholars such as Bourdieu، Putnam، Fukuyama and Coleman. In this research، social capital has been measured via measures of participation، awareness، and trust. The method used in this research is survey and a questionnaire based on Likert-scale has been the main instrument to collect data. The data too has been analyzed by using SPSS software. The obtained results show that at the present time the general level of social capital in Basij is intermediate to high.
