Abstract:
How intellectuals and opinion leaders in Iran face Western modernity is the most influential event in Iran's contemporary history. At first, the entry of western modernity into Iran has been analyzed in the framework of three models: Artillery modernity, Modernization of the legislator and Institutional modernity.Then the philosophical views of Seyyed Ahmad Fardid have been analyzed based on IranShahri's dualism, Ibn Arabi's theory, and Heidegger's critique of modernity. Reza Davari's philosophical opinions have also been analyzed based on Farabi's virtueism and Heidegger's critique of modernity. Ahmad Fardid is an irreconcilable opponent of the West And Davari is also critical of the spirit of Western domination.This confrontation has led to the formation of two approaches "West-phobia" and "criticism of the West" in Iran.The research method in this study is comparative. The researcher analyzes the philosophical views of Fardid and Davari and compares them. The method of collecting contents is library. The article explains the intellectual developments of these two thinkers and the differences and similarities between their views.
