Abstract:
This paper endeavors to study over the standpoint of Allameh Tababaei as a theologian, great commentator, well-aware of the expanse of Islamic mystical thoughts and fundamentals in terms of the hierarchy and realms of existence, and their relationship with divine names and attributes and the universe and the world of revelation and creation, and deliberates on his philosophical, Koranic, and mystical beliefs. What stems from the study of Allameh Tabatabaei’s works is that while making a classifications of the hierarchy of world, he had held three viewpoints, namely philosophical, Koranic, and mystical so that he had three separate classifications due to them. In his philosophical works he points to three realms of wisdom, imagination, and matter and materials, and also in Tafsir Almizan that is interpreted verse by verse, the creatures and realms of existence are classified into the world of revelation and world of creation. However, in his views based on mystical trainings, he has argued over a world that is hierarchically superior to the entire philosophical realms, i.e. the realm of divine names and attributes. Therefore, the writer tries to recognize the consistency or inconsistency of the three viewpoints in addition to the precise description of the perspectives, and compare and study over his Koranic and mystical viewpoints with his philosophical ones. The methods used in this paper are descriptive-analytical together with the reference made to the first hand and library sources.

Explaining the levels and worlds of existence from the perspective of Allameh Tabataba'i, relying on his philosophical, Quranic, and mystical views Leila Afsari Seyyed Sadr al-Din Taheri Abdullah Salavati Abstract: In the present article, an attempt is made to examine the views of Allameh Tabataba'i as a Theo-philosopher, a great commentator, and one familiar with the scope of thought and foundations of contemporary Islamic mysticism regarding the levels and worlds of existence and their connection to the Divine Names and Attributes, and the worlds of Command (Amr) and Creation (Khalq), and to scrutinize his philosophical, Quranic, and mystical beliefs.
In his philosophical works, he speaks of three worlds: the world of intellect, the world of imagery (Mithal), and the world of matter and materialities; also in the Tafsir al-Mizan, which was conducted using a verse-by-verse interpretive method, he has divided the beings and worlds of existence into the world of Command (Amr) and the world of Creation (Khalq); however, in the view based on mystical teachings, he has discussed a world that is ontologically prior to all philosophical worlds, namely the world of Names and Attributes.
In his interpretive and mystical approach as well, Allameh Tabataba'i, by citing Quranic verses, has first divided the beings of the world into the world of "Command" (Amr) and the world of "Creation" (Khalq), and secondly, by relying on the methods of mystics, has endeavored to describe and explain the multiplicities and beings of the world by attributing them to the Names and Attributes manifested in the station of Oneness (Wahidiyyat), which is itself the station of manifestation and emanation, the station of Absolute Oneness (Ahadiyyat).
