Abstract:
National security in its contemporary concept is not limited only to the immunity of the country (population and territory) against foreign attack or the threat of attack and internal rebellion, but has found new dimensions in terms of software and hardware. Undoubtedly, the environment is one of the new dimensions affecting national security, which has found a special position in global security studies, and even the future of international relations (external environment) and the relations of domestic actors (internal environment) in political communities is evaluated and analyzed based on it. This writing, with a legal perspective, will examine the security role of the environment (social security and environmental security) in today's world, including its effects and consequences in the external environment, especially in organizing the internal relations of human communities, as well as justifying the collaborative role of Basij in this field and analyzing the framework of performing this function, whether in creating internal security (security making) or protecting the existing security status (security maintaining).

Section One: Environmental Relations with Human Communities and the Identity of Nations Before analyzing the capacities, talents, and capabilities of the Basij in relation to environmental protection and the impact of this matter on facilitating the path to achieving its inherent goals and missions—especially enhancing social security, preserving the foundations of natural heritage, and safeguarding the cultural identity of society—we will depict a picture of the importance and connection of the environment with the axes of individual relations in contemporary society.
2- Human and Social Life: The Subjectivity of the Environment in the Legal Approach Environmental protection standards, like the regulations overseeing citizenship rights, contain a movement and a subtle competition, and since they are in contact and connection with all fields of human activity, they demand fundamental attention to these considerations in determining and explaining the norms governing society; especially the harmonization and compatibility of various governmental and non-governmental policies with the priority of providing a suitable environment which is a necessity for social life, are persistently pursued and followed.
