any authentic historical study must be compiled and written based on documentation, relying on credible sources, solid evidence, and sound reasoning. analysis, resolving contradictions in narratives, and paying attention to the motives behind fabrications are among the other essential requirements of historical research. this article examines how these principles are adhered to in the paper titled "unraveling the mystery of the migration of ali ibn muhammad baqir (as) to kashan and its consequences" and demonstrates that the aforementioned paper neglects the principle of documentation. the main arguments in the criticized paper lack references to original, credible sources and historical evidence. instead of relying on authentic sources and accurate historical evidence, and situating the study within its proper temporal context, the paper in question depends on popular accounts and unscientific hearsay to substantiate one of the influential events in the history of shiism in iran.
