Abstract:
How can the foundation of the family and subsequently the Islamic society be strengthened so that it remains immune to the onslaught of deviant cultures and upcoming challenges? The answer to this question, which is the main goal of the article, is found in four teachings of the school of Islam. First; knowledge and the upbringing of the members constituting the family, as the pure religion of Islam cannot be put into practice without correct and complete knowledge. Second; the correct and sufficient sexual relationship between the two main pillars of the family, namely the spouses, without which the family faces challenges and problems in practice. Third; the correct and precise economic relationship within the family, where in addition to the spouses, growing children must also know their place in economic relations and prepare themselves to build a new family and take their place in society. Fourth; the hierarchical relationship between spouses and children, upon which the stability of the family depends, and observing the guardianship of the husband in accepting the final decision and in matters of disagreement leads to unity of approach and strengthening the foundation of the family. While accepting the father's authority in the family, responsibility also falls upon him, and the boundaries and results of performance and family management become apparent through the years of shared life. The research method in this article is library-based, but field experiences have also been used.
Machine summary:
In this writing, the family system is examined based on the Islamic model using Imami jurisprudence as a criterion; its upcoming challenges are enumerated and, considering the prevalence of Western ideas in the form of the modern family system and based on some functions of the family system including: sexual relations, family economic relations, hierarchical relationship, and its educational role, they are investigated.
-- Third method: For those for whom permanent marriage is not possible and self-restraint is not a solution, the only legitimate way for sexual satisfaction is "temporary marriage," where individuals, based on jurisprudential legality, place their will upon the will of God. Of course, temporary marriage can only be a solution if its laws and limits are formulated by legislative institutions within a legal framework and in accordance with the requirements of the time; otherwise, allowing temporary marriage without conditions and considerations of compensation (mahr) could lead to undesirable familial and social consequences and be subject to abuse by the lustful.
Although the economic situation, the expansion of the culture of consumerism, and matters of this kind fuel these types of value systems, responsible institutions and organizations, and especially the media, must direct all their efforts themselves toward culture-building and emphasizing the maternal status and the role of women as wives based on Islamic teachings, and carry out the necessary and effective planning and actions so that, due to improper value systems derived from Western culture, Muslim women do not neglect their inherent duties as mothers, raising children, and being a source of peace for the family unit.
