Abstract:
Anger control is one of the essential skills for the social and emotional development of elementary school students. In the early years of education, children face challenges that can affect their emotions. Teachers, as the first educational guides, play a key role in teaching emotional regulation and anger control skills. This research examines practical solutions to help students manage their emotions and analyzes the impact of teaching methods on the development of emotional regulation skills. Study results have shown that teachers can increase anger control ability in children by using social-emotional learning-based methods, group activities, and relaxation techniques. Creating supportive learning environments, teaching problem-solving skills, and encouraging the correct expression of emotions are among the solutions that improve students' emotional regulation. Additionally, studies have confirmed that using interactive activities and educational games can help strengthen anger management skills in children. Given the research findings, it is suggested that schools develop special educational programs to strengthen emotional control skills. Teachers can strengthen emotional regulation skills in students by utilizing modern teaching methods and provide the foundation for their social and emotional growth.
