Abstract:
The present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of digital tools in improving motivation and interest in mathematics in primary education. The research method is descriptive-analytical. To this end, studies and research conducted in this field have been reviewed and analyzed. The results of the research show that the use of digital tools in mathematics education in the primary period can help increase students' motivation and interest in this subject. Mathematics, as one of the most fundamental and vital scientific fields, plays a significant role in shaping the path of transformation and progress of societies. Mathematics education and learning begins from the primary era and has special importance as a basic pillar of other academic disciplines as well as in people's daily lives. Digital tools such as computers, tablets, and smartphones, with features such as interactivity, providing immediate feedback, and creating attractive learning environments, lead to an increase in active engagement of students in the mathematics learning process. Additionally, the use of digital educational games in mathematics education, by creating appropriate challenges and providing effective rewards, helps increase students' intrinsic motivation for learning this subject.
