Abstract:
The aim of the present research is to investigate the effectiveness of group reality therapy on psychological cohesion and self-compassion of married women in Mashhad city. The research method is quasi-experimental, specifically a pre-test/post-test design with a control group. The statistical population includes 60 female visitors who visited the Aramesh Counseling Center in Mashhad from Mehr to Bahman 1402. Sampling was conducted using the convenience method. Subsequently, they voluntarily completed the psychological cohesion and self-compassion questionnaires. After the initial analysis of the questionnaires and checking the inclusion criteria, finally, 30 women whose psychological cohesion and self-compassion scores were medium to low were selected as a sample. After obtaining informed consent and implementing ethical considerations, they were randomly assigned to a modern reality therapy experimental group and a control group.

Second hypothesis: Group reality therapy has an effect on the self-compassion of married women in Mashhad.
Conclusion The hypotheses of this research were confirmed, which is consistent with some previous studies, including Welp and Brown (2023), Yarnell and Neff (2020), and Gilbert and Procter (2021).
