Abstract:
This research aims to investigate and analyze educational policy and planning in the Iranian educational system. This research is an applied scientific-analytical type. Desirable policies are those that have been accepted by the people and have taken various aspects into consideration. Among the theorists in this field, there is no single definition of public policy. For this reason, making different sectors of the government, including education, efficient requires planning and policymaking based on realities. Education is considered a key component of social development, and for this reason, educational planning in education gains special importance, and to succeed in preparing successful educational planning, special attention must be paid to educational policymaking. Formulating an educational program consistent with educational policymaking will guarantee the success of educational programs towards achieving educational ideals. Educational planning, with the help of educational policymaking, helps create rapid expansion of education, creates more proportion and balance between levels and components, and improves quality. For this purpose, in the present scientific-analytical article, the reasons for the importance of policymaking in educational planning have been explained.
