AbstractThe period of Qajar and Pahlavi rule is a new chapter in the field of education and training, a period when the custodians of culture and literature drew the official framework of training teacher and authoring content according to the needs and necessities. During this period, the educational system changed twice, and following that, the educational content of teacher training centers also changed and different types of knowledge centers were formed in Iran. Daneshsaraye Moghadamati are the oldest and most comprehensive type, which has played a significant role in the cultural transformation and training primary school teachers in the country. According to the approvals of the National Assembly, one of the country's first Daneshsaraye Moghadamati centers will be established in Birjand city, which has been operating as the most stable teacher training model throughout the Pahlavi regime. The purpose of this research is to examine the activities of boys' and girls' Daneshsaraye Moghadamati and explain their functional process in South Khorasan province, which deals with this issue in a descriptive-analytical way by using library, documentary and interview sources. The results show that Birjand Daneshsaraye Moghadamati were formed in order to supply and train new primary school teachers based on the laws and regulations of the parliament and the activity history of Shauktieh school played a significant role in facilitating its activities. In addition, the selection of its directors was made according to the conditions stipulated in the Education Law and according to individual experience and qualifications, and it had the permanent support of the local political government.Keywords: History of education, Birjand, Daneshsaraye Moghadamati

With the start of the second period, the college was moved to the rented house of Mohammad Mahdi Haoui, which was later sold to the Ministry of Education (Birjand County Education Department, Dormant Documents, Girls' Preparatory Teacher Training College Folder).
Since according to Article 2 of the Law of Education, the college had to be boarding and free of charge, this was not realized during the first period of the Birjand girls' preparatory teacher training college, and in 1356 SH, it was moved to the second floor of the Red Crescent building on Taleghani Street, and after one year, it changed its location to the current building of Kowsar Vocational School on Beheshti Street 1.
In this year, according to Article 2 of the Law of Education, the programs for schools and academies were determined by the Ministry of Education; consequently, 16 subjects were determined for the preparatory teacher training college, which included: psychology and logic in terms of training and principles of teaching and training scientific and practical, sociology in terms of ethics and training, principles of science of ethics and principles of religion, Persian, Arabic, foreign language, history and geography, mathematics, physics and chemistry, natural history, hygiene, painting and drawing, music and anthem, physical education, handicrafts and agriculture, personal recitation, and extracurricular activities (Zamiri and Nourabadi, 1400: 9).
